Redeemed for A Cause Outreach

MEET US!

OUR TEAM

Our team members interact with victims and survivors of human trafficking. All team members have done over 200 hours of training on and in arenas surrounding human trafficking, such as trauma-informed care, grief and loss, cultural competency and diversity, intimate partner violence, trauma, addiction (including Narcan) and harm reduction, and more. Team members go into the community twice a month on Outreach Saturdays and attend all conference calls, board meetings, and trainings.

Executive Assistant and Board Secretary

Dawn Williamson, BS | MA

Dawn Williamson graduated from Liberty University with a MA in Human Services: Crisis Response and Trauma and a BS in Psychology: Human Development and Counseling.  Currently, she works as a case manager at a home health agency where she continues to apply her education and skills from prior positions.  Prior to her current employer, she worked as a shelter monitor at the Salvation Army, where she found her passion for helping those in need.  She went on to work as a customer service and claims associate at Health Advocate, where she improved her customer service and active listening skills.  As her passion grew, she decided to join Redeemed For A Cause Outreach in March 2018 as a team member and educated herself about human trafficking in Philadelphia.  Later, she was employed as a case manager at a drug and alcohol facility where she continued her passion in helping those in need by teaching them about self-worth and self-love.

Team Member

Aashley McCoy

Aashley McCoy is a member for the organization called Redeemed for a Cause. She has been a part of this organization for three years. Aashley got involved in RFAC after seeing how involved and excited her mother, Yvonne, was about the organization. Since joining, she has learned a lot. The key that keeps this organization going is having a heart for people. It is not easy and can be draining, but when you care about people, it continues to give you the drive you need.

Team Member

Michelle Ruiz

Michelle Ruiz heard Sakinah Love from Redeemed for a Cause speak in May of 2018 at the Wonder of Women Conference. Michelle strongly believes in supporting other women to see their self worth and their capacity to grow. She wants women to be able to access resources and knowledge, that they can then use to improve their own lives. Encouraged by Sakinah’s speech, Michelle signed up to volunteer however possible and has been serving since.

Team Member

Catherine Shepherd

Catherine Shepherd is a team member of Redeemed For A Cause. She became a team member in late summer of 2018. She met Sakinah Love, our founder, through a mutual friend and it was a true divine connection. Catherine has a heart to serve and loves exactly that about Redeemed for a Cause–the heart and mind of serving with love and lifting up those who have been forgotten, and reassuring them that they are loved and we care for them.
